Day 4
NOTTS SHINE THROUGH TO TAKE A SUPERB WIN AMID THE TRENT BRIDGE GLOOM
A superb and highly deserved victory for Notts beating Warwickshire by an innings and 123 runs in the Stygian gloom at Trent Bridge today with 12.5 overs unused. With the floodlights on full beam Notts were forced to bowl Steven Mullaney and Samit Patel in tandem after tea and in 23.1 overs took the remaining four wickets. The 24-point victory means that Notts now stand third in the championship table.

Titch ton but SAM TAKES TOP BILLINGs
A poor bowling performance meant that Notts lost for the first time this season in the 50 over competition; in a match which included two tons and a hat trick. Kent needed an unlikely 106 runs from the final 10 overs but got there with eight balls unused as Sam Billings finished on 118.
Second Eleven v Derbyshire 2s Friendly at NSG, Lady Bay
CARTERS RETURN TO GIVE NOTTS LIFT
As an apéritif to the day's main course an hour or so's action a Lady Bay was sampled. On view was a Derbyshire second eleven taking on a Nottinghamshire's equivalent. Only a handful of spectators had been tempted by this friendly fixture.
