ReplyDeleteDan is a busy busy man .Did well for Notts over the years . Perhaps 2022 season was a bridge too far . Performances in general on the wane.
Notts will find it hard to replace him next year.
Yes DC was a good fit for Notts and helping the Outlaws win the competition twice in his time with us just shows what a brilliant job he did for us Captaining and with his own personal displays with both bat and ball, but after a gap of 2 years was he really ever going to have the same influence on the games ? Probably not and it was a poor decision to bring him back yet again last season.
ReplyDeleteAlthough he will be difficult to replace, there’s plenty of top class lads playing franchise T20 around the globe. You just need your coaching staff to do their homework and put their research in and not just be content with the easy, lazy, option of the so called ‘safe-fit’ option that the Head coach would seem to prefer, of sticking with what you’ve got.
There’s overseas players who did well in the Blast and the Hundred for their respective teams last season, who he has probably barely heard of i would suggest.
