Samit puts IPL on ice!

Samit Patel says that in 2012 his aim is to push for an England place in the World No.1 Test side. To achieve this he reckons that he has to score heavily for Notts starting with the glut of fixtures loaded into April (11 days possible at TB and 8 days elsewhere; only July has a similar number of total days cricket for Notts with a 12/7 split) therefore he has, following advice, withdrawn from the IPL bidding process for next year's competition. Samit still remains with the ambition to play in the cash rich competition one day, however.
