Day 2 at Worcester - pictures

Play resumed at New Road during the middle session of the second day with Pears 5/0. Conditions were not at their best for either batting or bowling sides with marginal light and a barely playable wet outfield.

This game is being played out on a wicket on the Pavilion side of the square with the boundaries square, brought in to make a "postage stamp" of an outfield.

The ball kept very low for most bowlers, hence the disproportionate number of leg-before decisions; Moeen Ali being so plumb, he walked before the umpire's finger had seen the light of day, let alone raised!
