Day 3 - Notts close day near to victory

Day 3 started with Notts in a very handy position and during the morning session slowly built upon that advantage, only losing the overnight batsman Michael Lumb (62) and Samit Patel (39).


The second session has seen Notts attempt to up to tempo a little; in the 98th over Taylor and Read reached the landmark of a hundred partnership at which point, James Taylor got out to a caught behind off Kerrigan for 46.


At 302/7 the rain arrived


On resumption, the tea interval being absorbed into the break, Notts' innings fizzled out as Anderson returned to form.
