Tom Rowe plays for England

England U19 defeated Derbyshire 2nd XI in a T20 contest yesterday at the Brockington Ground, Loughborough.


Opening for young England was Tom Rowe who scored 22 in the 6 wicket win.
The game also featured Sam Wood (4*, 0/6) and Brett Hutton (1/24). For the Sheepsters, Chesney Hughes (43, 0/31) had a game along with former Notts Academy's Ben McGuire (19).


In a second game between the two teams later the same day, England won by 7 wickets.


Brett Hutton 1/20, Sam Wood 2/9, Tom Rowe 28 (4 fours 1 six) In the second game, Tom Knight played against Derbyshire.




Australian Strike?


Reports in The Australian newspaper suggests that members of the ODI Australian tour party to the UK and Ireland, due to reach these shores later this month, could strike over pay!

Lancashire scramble over the winning line


A match haul of 11 wickets by Graham Onions ensured Lancashire didn't have it all their own way as the Red Rose squeaked recorded their first win 2012 with 4 balls to spare and 2 wickets after 4 days play at the Emirates.
