The Famous Four Decide

With the new England selection committee (Messrs Moores, Whitaker, Fraser and Newell) convening to select the one day squad to take on Scotland at Aberdeen (9 May) and onwards to play Sri Lanka (20 May - 3 June), who will they choose?

With no Stuart Broad to lead, that role is likely to be given to Middlesex's Morgan again.

It might be difficult to reject Michael Lumb after his relative success in the West Indies and Michael Carberry could partner him opening.

Gary Ballance will be selected with Ian Bell and Moeen Ali probably. James Vince could be a surprise squad selection as James Taylor is yet to show any form this season.

Jos Buttler is most likely to be the favoured 'keeper but the bowling might present the more difficult choices.

Outlaws' Harry Gurney could have a chance in more familiar conditions and Steve Finn looks to have refound his mo-jo whilst James Anderson has shown to be selectable if he wanted to be.

Chris Jordan was the one success of the winter, Jackie Brooks has had a reasonable start to the season and Graham Onions has taken wickets as well.

Spinners in the frame are scarce but Briggs might be up for a recall because there are few other options, perhaps David Wainwright of Derby could get a chance.

Any suggestions?
