09.30 MATCH ABANDONED Nottinghamshire's first class game v Camb MCCU at Fenner's has been abandoned. Very wet yesterday and heavy overnight rain and a poor forecast have combined. The match has been abandoned as a draw
Day 2
If the current weather in Cambridge is anything like as half as bad as here in the East Midlands , where we're had snow this morning followed by heavy rain, then it's game over for today and tomorrow.
Day 1
It remains to be seen what the umpires find on inspection later, but after almost constant rain on Friday and Saturday, a period of drying out might be necessary for at least the morning on day one.
From 09.30 Twitter Cambridge- very damp
Word from the umpires is that we won't be starting on time, with an umpires inspection taking place at 10AM. Follow the first inspection, there will be another inspection at 11.15AM
There will be another inspection at 12.15PM
No play before lunch, there will be an inspection at 1.00PM

ReplyDeleteHopefully Grace Road will be OK for play. When will it stop hurling it down ?? Sorry like everyone very frustrated by the weather and really cruel the 2 lads could not make their First Class debuts, hope they both will this season
