The Fox Stand is No More!

THE FOX STAND NO MORE

Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club will be powered by Yü Energy following the conclusion of a wide-ranging partnership agreement between two of the county’s leading lights.

The Nottingham based business energy and water supplier will provide utilities for the next three seasons and will also be partnering on a range of energy related initiatives including the provision of mobile phone charging points and future renewable energy solutions for Trent Bridge.
The Fox Road Stand has been re-named The Yü Energy Stand as part of the agreement.
Yü Energy CEO Bobby Kalar welcomed the deal.
“We are absolutely delighted to be partnering with Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club,” said Bobby.
It’s an honour for Yü Energy to be powering Trent Bridge cricket ground which is such an iconic international sporting venue.
“Our partnership will allow Trent Bridge to benefit from our unique offering, with the convenience of bringing together the gas, electricity and water supply all in one place. We believe this is just the start of an exciting long-term partnership.”
Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club Commercial Director Michael Temple welcomed Yü Energy to Trent Bridge.
“Our partnership with Yü Energy is a natural fit given their commitment to Nottingham, their national outlook and their commitment to working with like-minded businesses to make a meaningful difference through energy supply,” he said.
“The competition in their sector is intense and we are especially pleased to have found an energy partner with a whole-hearted commitment to customer service and innovation.
“We look forward to working closely with Yü Energy to bring our partnership to life by making further strides in the Trent Bridge customer experience of which we are already extremely proud.”

When the wicket is that side of the ground,o the Foxy Loxy Road(as was) is a good watch to see a game with a differing view to all the cricket experts permanently homed in the Raddy Road middle tier? But, why not pursue this avenue of sponsorship. We are sadly lacking behind a lot of clubs in this department. How long until we rename the ground ? As long as it still retains the world famous Trent Bridge in the title, perhaps it's an area of revenue we should explore further(just putting my tin hat on now)

  2. How about the 'Trent Bridge Fine Dining (all year round) for the Rich and Famous Ground'or 'The Trent Bridge Mick & Lisa Limited Ground' - the possibilities are endless!!!!!!!

  4. I didn't think the ECB were supportive of renewable energy solutions considering the number of times the floodlights were on in bright sunlight - the floodlit games against Derbyshire that ended before 6pm and the Worcestershire championship match that was played at the height of the summer solstice spring to mind. I foresee Yü Energy making a nice little profit from the ECB's rules and regulations...

  5. Let's hope that it doesn't go a similar way to another local energy supplier recently or the 3aaas at Derby only last week. If we are going to sell our soul, then we don't want to be short changed.

Yu Group slashes guidance, probes systems after miscalculating revenue

    24th October 2018 08:34 | Yu Group Plc
Electricity supplier to small businesses Yu Group slashed its annual guidance after it miscalculated its revenue among other 'areas of significant concern'.

The company said it was extremely disappointed to have to lop £10m off its profit expectations, which would lead it to report an annual loss.

'As founder and majority shareholder, nobody is more disappointed in this development than me,' chief executive Bobby Kalar said.

Yu said it would commission a forensic review of its systems 'to fully identify the underlying issues and implement all necessary further measures'.

The company had reviewed levels of accrued income for each customer account and found a significant amount of that income was not recoverable.

It also reviewed the level of trader debtors held and concluded the level of non-payment was significantly above expectations.

In addition, Yu said it had taken into account market conditions, which had continued to compress gross margins available to energy suppliers.

'This re-evaluation has led the directors to forecast a significant reduction to gross margin in 2018 and beyond,' the company said.

'As a result of the above, the board are extremely disappointed to announce this substantial reduction in profitability.'

At 8:34am: (LON:YU.) Yu Group Plc share price was -460p at 135p
