Well he makes all the noises you'd expect him to do as Pravda makes the announcement. His name is Richard Kenyon.
Richard would appear to have been at Everton FC in various roles and starts this new appointment in December. In the meantime Michael Temple will be wearing Lisa's shoes!
So will Ms Pursehouse be taking on the new role of CEO of the cuckoo franchise, as suggested by The Cricketer? How might that work on a day to day basis at Trent Bridge, 2 CEOs and one CEO's office?

This is last day of September:
Does the current CEO leave today?
Will the "pact with Caine International (or whatever their name is) be signed-off for the Tr*nt R*ckets "partnership" today?
Are the two intrinsically the same question?
Will here be an appointment of a new CEO?

Kent Cricket is pleased to announce the appointment of Nimmo Reid as Acting CEO of the Club from 1 November 2025.
Reid, the Club’s Chief Operations Officer, will take on the role whilst Kent Cricket works to secure the appointment of a new full-time Chief Executive in the coming months.
The current CEO, Simon Storey, who indicated in March that he will be stepping down from his role at the end of the season, will formally handover leadership on 31 October 2025 and move into an advisory role at the Club.
Reid originally joined Kent Cricket in 2000 as a Club Physiotherapist and was Head of Science & Medicine for Kent Spitfires’ 2007 Twenty20 Cup win. Since then, he has overseen the development and growth of the St Lawrence Clinic, as well as taking on leadership of the Club’s Venue Operations, before being named as Chief Operations Officer.
Kent Cricket’s COO, Nimmo Reid, said: “Having been at the Club now for over 20 years, I’m delighted to be taking on the Acting CEO role whilst we ensure that the right person will join us on a permanent basis.
“All of the staff at the Club are working hard to ensure that we remain competitive on and off the field, with a lot of work having been done in a cricketing perspective with our Men’s and Women’s Talent Pathways, as well as looking into ways of making our two venues at Canterbury and Beckenham profitable all year round.
“Together, we’ll continue to work hard to secure the Club’s business plans and ensure that Kent Cricket is in as good a position that it can be ahead of us welcoming a new CEO.”
Kent Cricket’s Chair, Krish Shanmuganathan, said: “Nimmo is one of the leaders of our Executive Team at the Club, with whom I’ve had the pleasure of working closely over these last six months.
“He has overseen many successful projects during his many years of service so far. Importantly, he has all the right skills and experience to ensure continuity and focus during this transitional period, preparing the Club for the arrival of our permanent CEO.”

ReplyDeleteMr Anonymous that posted "I wonder if it will also be the last hurrah for Mr Pursehouse .
ReplyDeleteWe live in hope" We should probably expect an announcement about a lucrative position at Trent Rockets or an appointment to the ECB as head of EDI or something similar, in the medium to longer term future, concerning Ms Pursehouse - just a hunch.

ReplyDeleteCant happen soon enuff
A source close to Admin predicted that as soon as the H*ndred cash started flowing, certain individuals would be taking a severance payment route out of the building.

ReplyDeleteAgain Mr Anonymous posted "One thing she ain't is stupid. She knows bleak times ahead at Notts. So going out on a high". Yet she'll leave with business unfinished with the pavilion refit and her Project New Audience, aka The H*ndred, entering new challenge. It's more like quitting whilst she's ahead as I see it.
ReplyDeleteI honestly wish her well.
ReplyDeleteWonder 💭 if the new CEO 👨💼 will be as adept at losing his rag with Notts members at AGMs as the exiting Princess 👸 was ?
ReplyDeleteThink you would have to say she did a good job for Trent Bridge, putting the Restaurant 6 project aside - if it’s at all possible to do that for a few seconds - albeit she was not universally popular with Notts CCC Members it’s fair to say
Ironic - when we’ve just heroically won 🏆 the County Championship so splendidly that Lisa was ALWAYS at pains to point out that in this era there’s more than just the Notts Mens team playing at our venue - but I think it took her almost up to her last season in charge to finally accept the realisation that the overwhelming majority of members do not want to enter the ground to watch the 16.4 and even I would have to concede pretty much the same applies to the Blaze playing at our home 🏡 ground also, certainly in the 50 over format at least
Then call the Blaze- Notts and, stop passing them off as anything to do with us, at Derbyshire or Leicestershire. We don't want them. We have our own ladies teams. Early days but still our Ladies teams.
ReplyDelete"Ladies" Steve, that's a different ticking off for you. There already is a Nottinghamshire Women's age-group set-up, which we are told utilises nets, wickets and coaches from Nottighamshire's finite resources. The Blaze is not Nottinghamshire, just as it isn't Derbyshire or Leicestershire, or even Lincolnshire.
DeleteThen. End the Blaze if nobody wants them and disperse the girls to the official East mids teams? If they want to play higher then I'm sure other counties would be available. My wife runs a team and none of her players as any interest in the Blaze.
ReplyDeleteThe former CEO's mantra has been lost on you, Steve. Regardless of peoples' perceptions, opinions, views: "The Blaze are part of the Trent Bridge family now and as an elite women's team, they must be afforded all the same facilities and opportunities as their mens counterparts, even at the expense of their mens counterparts". At the moment Trent Bridge are happy to take the ECB's women's maintanence money but as yet are not ready for a full adoption.
DeleteI think if Loughborough Uni, Queens Park Chesterfield or Gorse Lane Grantham were made Nottinghamshire enclaves then The Blaze would become known as Notts Blaze.
We will have to see what the new CEO's take on the Blaze anomaly is, with his non-cricket background. Support/supporters-wise or even potential support-wise it makes little sense as the East Midlands is so cliquey.
DeleteIt is an odd set up when viewed against other counties.
ReplyDeleteQueens Park is actually Derbyshire who host our own woman's team. Blaze have /do play there but no interest from the public. Happy to see how it pans out because the woman do help the game expand but the Blaze is a strange concept.
Nottinghamshire's problem is squares, it doesn't have enough of a good enough standard. County wide investment is needed.
DeleteIs there a logic to play The Blaze stand alone Metro Bank 50 over games on Lady Bay then ? The wickets are generally good and there’s certainly enough space to accommodate the hardy souls that go to these games, along with family members of the players culminating in a whopping crowd of around 200 from my experience. Facilities(if that’s what you call them down there) would have to be brought up 🆙 to match at least 2s cricket standards as the game versus Oxfordshire Women which I believe was the first ‘proper’ game there earlier this season, no supply of white bucket chairs 🪑 were available and both sides of what pretends to be a cricket Pavillion, were zoned off forbidding entry by the general public. Even Anita, Josie Groves mum told me that even she was unable to cross the border to speak to Josie
DeletePeople who know me on here, will laugh 😹 as they recall the infamous chair 🪑#gate episode from earlier in the season, but not withstanding this, supporters cannot be expected to hair down the Colwick Loop Rd carrying a chair on their back or take one on public transport - and 100 overs is a long day to stand for the entirety of the play. The game I referred to above was a t20 so was not such a problem
Facilities at Lady Bay aren't fit for elite cricket with accompanying spectators.
