Distinctly recall KPs knock and him hitting Corky for a massive 6 over where the practice nets used to be towards the Wm. Clarke. Very interesting stuff mags was hoping to see you at the Bay today. Not sure how much play the 2s will get out of this encounter

Think that was the last time we had Cairns back from memory. It was a very poor decision as he could hardly bowl or field and wasnt good enough just as a batsman.Luckily from 2004 we did get it right with the brilliant but totally unproven David Hussey

    2. No Cairns returned twice more. He played two List A matches in 2006 and then played for Notts in 2008 but he only played in the T20 in that last season.

Now you have reminded me can vaguely recall 2006 but 2008 escapes me. Gawd knows what state he was in then? Assume you recall his dad playing and bowling with that strange action? Like his son, a big hitter but Chris at best was world class and the better of the two

#cairnsgate# continued(sorry to bore everyone) but as someone who regards himself as a Notts die-hard its PAINING me I just cannot recall that 2008 stint. The last memory I have is of him sporting that unsponsored gold and black Exito brand shirt in 2003, so I will have to look at the scorecards from that year to remind myself. May be at the Bay tmrw after work, really depends on whether the totally inaccurate met office hourly forky actually rings true or not
