Met a couple of lads in the club shop yesterday who were just acquiring the green Notts ‘bobble’ hat. Suggest they will be needed for these 2 days now the unseasonal mini heatwave is, sadly, over.
ReplyDeletePresumably, as the final run out before the Sussex away game, the team will be reasonably close to the one that’s starts the season proper ? Have been told, completely unofficially, that the fast Patto misses this first game as his state side have reached the final of the Sheffield Shield but no idea when the Great Dane is expected to arrive ?
Had not expected Stuart Broad to play for us again but both him and Anderson must have every confidence of playing again this home series after this latest woeful display in the Caribbean so his playing days for us may not be curtailed as early as we thought.
Can’t really believe James Hayes is anywhere near the mix, but, depending who you now rule out through unavailability and injury, it may only take another strain for him to be thrown straight in. He would now appear to have gone ahead of Toby Pettman although it will be interesting to see if he plays in this 2 day friendly. Notts squad has not been announced at this time.
