Note the "Prime" category only entitles the member to 30 home days.
To see more there's hoops to jump through:
To honour your commitment and loyalty, should any renewing Traditional Member use all of their match allocations as a Prime Member and wish to attend more matches, tickets will be issued for free on a match-by-match basis by contacting the Ticket and Membership Office.
Thirty days... let's do the math, as those from the franchise world might say.
Obviously those will include 4 Hundred and/or 4 One Day Cup days (depending on which side of the fence the former-traditional member might sit). Next is the reduced Blast of only 5 days. That's at least 9/30 days. With a reduced Championship to 5 home games, that's just 20 days leaving 1 day for play-offs or such.
Does this category appear to be designed with the savage Strauss proposals of cuts to cricket already being approved?
I just can’t get my little brainy around this. It works out at 39 days to me, so what’s this prime Membership of 30 days all about ? Or does it mean to say you then have to request the other 9 days tickets(free of charge). The Lanky website says they’ve simplified the Memberships categories for todays’ new audiences. Are they saying, on average, full Members attend no more than 30 days due to commitments, matches finishing early and days’ lost to the weather ? I must be missing something, or reading it wrongly. I wonder if they asked Kwasi Kwarteng to do the sums for them or did ‘Lanky’ the giraffe Mascot have some input ?
ReplyDeleteAt least our Member categories are straightforward. I have heard potential rumours that Ms. Pursestrings is contemplating a new ‘Platinum Exclusive’ category which includes all 4 day matches, all Blast t20 matches, all RLODC matches, all Hundred matches and all International matches. This new package would also include a fine dining experience at Restaurant Six after each days play with complimentary bar service attached.
Reggie Perrin.
It’s all a smoke screen, they are trying every trick in the book. Fact of the matter is, it’s simple, they know what we want.foxy
ReplyDelete75 NOT OUT .
ReplyDeletePut me down for the PLATINUM PACKAGE! I will contact my Building Society today to arrange a second mortgage to pay for it .Cricket Club Memberships are suddenly become pretty complicated . This is what happens when bean counting Accountants and non cricket people get involved. However on balance , based on days of cricket played , it appears Notts ccc Membership is still good value for money . We all know prices for virtually everything are going through the roof . MAG states only 46,000 total County Club Membership for 2022 . That seems poor to me - and it's a big reduction on previous years. Are some Club Chairman asking " would we be better off without any Members?" They could then do what they like in tandem with ECB plans " for the good of the game"
Oh yes??!!
That’s what they want, no members. Then they can sell the city franchises onto dodgy foreign owners who will then build all over the real estate. Greed . . Foxy
ReplyDeleteI guess they would prefer the football model, which is basically cough up a packet, say a minimum of £600+ for your season ticket and you’ll have no say whatsoever in the running of the club. Just keep coming back for more each season and we’ll try to ‘bleed you dry’ for the privilege of watching us each time.
DeleteThe difference with this model however is A) you are guaranteed your 19 or 23 home games come what may, any postponements due to bad weather etc will be replayed and not just lost forever and generally speaking we’ll play the matches when the majority of people can get to the games(which is always a slight advantage i would say)
