In what was touted by the ECB and used in Notts' defence for lack of competition progress, the finalists for a "Development Competition" were decided by two overseas Internationals in their thirties, a returning 33 year old H*ndred player and ODI and Test England International, a 36 year old wily campaigner and a couple of handy tosses to win.
The one thousand Leicestershire supporters will rattle around in the Trent Bridge, if they're not given so support from elsewhere.
Will The Foxes only have 1,000 supporters ? A chance for silverware and not far away. There is even a regular bus from your city to Nottingham Broadmarsh Bus Station now, Leicesterites !
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Leicestershire on a great achievement for a club that lacks
ReplyDeleteFinancial clout' a club that's on the up with impressive plans for the future' a club which as been criticised by Teflon mick as being a piss poor county' well you could learn from there approach creating many players in which we have benefited from the likes of Broad gurney Taylor & others
In fact it's quite embarrassing to say in many ways in which Notts have failed with the financial resources available to them
I don’t think too many of our supporters would disagree with that.
DeleteYou’re safe for a while as Teflon has got his chequebook out again but this time he has raided a different County for his new batch of players, namely Worcestershire
I think Teflon needs to recruit more age-group coaches, analysts and S&C staff for his player pathway to start producing home grown players as we’re a bit understaffed in that department at the moment.
Yes indeed, a classic ‘gaffe’ from Teflon and taken completely out of context(obviously)
I'm sure Leicestershire will bring more than 1,000 fans I'm sure they had more than that at the 2003 and 2006 T20 finals day at Trent Bridge, I know they're local rivals but good luck to them it would be nice to see them win something.
ReplyDeletePerhaps some H*ndred fans will show up to support the Foxes as they are types that readily turn-up to support owt without any affliation necessary, and if Foxes lose then they can support Hamps. Everyones a winner.
DeleteThe last time i was at Grace Road there was less than 200 in the ground.
DeleteWhen it comes down to the final winning the toss will be the major factor
ReplyDeleteHampshire are a far more the superior team
With all bases covered but it's a one off
I personally think the fox's will need to chase & with budinger they just might have a match winner just like hales did at lords
Foxes 🦊 severely weakened by Peter Handscomb going back to Australia and his overseas replaced from Pakistan is not able to play in the grand final itself
ReplyDeleteI fully take your observation onboard in the context it was written, but Lord Sol. Budinger could never ever play an innings like Baz((Hales) did against a strong side like Surrey on that day. 187no at Lords when the 50 over competition was not decimated by The Hindred I think was THE best innings ever played to win a final especially when wickets were going down at the other end.
I’m on a par with Lord Budinger on this one in that both of us can only dream about playing an innings like that one Alex played that Saturday afternoon back in July 2017
