Wellington and McIntosh in the Rain

Andre Adams adopted his Master Blaster role, so often seen this year for Notts, for Auckland against the aptly named Wellington.


At the close of Day One at Bert Sutcliffe Oval, Lincoln


Auckland 284/7


AR Adams 27* from 9 balls (1 six 4 fours)


Day Two was a complete washout at Lincoln, Wellington


McIntosh had got a century on Day 1


Day Three


Auckland Aces made hay as the rain stayed away, declaring at 357/7

Wellington Firebirds then declared in arrears at 233/5, an unbeaten century for Woodcock being the high point.

Woodcock's form extended to his bowling too as Aces will start Day 4 on 43/2, with Woodcock's bowling figures over night 4-4-0-1


Day Four


The final day was again interrupted by rain which resulted in a drawn match. Wellington had been set 250 to win after Auckland slumped to 125 all out, JS Patel 5/39. In their chase for an improbable victory the Firebirds stumbled to 86/5. Andre Adams 2/26.
