Seven Years Fix

Former Essex player Mervyn Westfield could face a maximum of seven years imprisonment after pleading guilty to "spot fixing allegations" pertaining to an opening over in a match against Durham at CLS in 2009, where he was paid 6k to concede 12 runs; he managed to leak 10.

After parading a wad of cash for his deed, teammates informed the authorities. Tony Palladino, now a Sheep, was due to be the primary witness for the prosecution at he Old Bailey with British Authorities  confident they have a template for convicting cheats of this ilk, as with the three convicted Pakistani Test Players.

Formal sentencing will be on 10th February. There is now  a current amnesty in place to try and nail The Fixer, to rid corruption from the English game at least.
