Better the Devil you know?

With Huss too busy with his international commitments and Laxman not wishing to play T20, Mick Newell's options are diminishing........... cricinfo today are saying that Adam Voges is set for a return to TB - is it a case of better the devil you know?
Voges has shown in the past that he a quality batsman but not of the highest quality, a match winner, to warrant the overseas player status, perhaps.

Thursday 23rd Feb

Again according to various media outlets but not from TB, Voges will be formally announced as the overseas player for 2012 at the Members AGM on Monday.

Meanwhile down the M1, across the border into Kolpakland- south, Wantage Road welcomed their new signing, Con de Lange , a South African with a UK residency.

A bit further down that same motorway and across London to Kennington, the county there announced that reformed Kolpak, Jacques Rudolph would be their overseas player for 2012.

In Dubai, a tinkered England T20 XI managed to lose to the spinning Pakistanis by 8 runs, though it was Umar Gul that did the damage. Graeme Swann took 3 wickets.
