Josh Cobb has not been given a No Objection Certificate by his club, Leicestershire, effectively banning him from taking part in the BPL - Bangladesh Premier League. Barisal Burners had lined Cobb up as a replacement for the injured Chris Gayle. "Not great for morale when your club won't let you go to the Bangladesh Premier League to replace Chris Gayle," Cobb posted on his facebook page.
The Foxes cited Cobb's recent operation to remove a cyst from a knee and the club's long term duty of care for their player's well being. How long will young Cobb stick it out if his dad, Russell, moves to Loughborough to take up the coaching role there (filling Graham Dilley's shoes - not literally)? - confirmed Monday 20/02
It might be worth a mention that Andre Adams is taking part in the BPL, for Khulna Royal Bengals - with not much luck so far.
Sunday 19 Feb
Australia trounced India in their latest triangular ODI by 110 runs.
Outlaw Hussey's contribution: 26 not out with 1 six and 1 four plus a catch. Ben Hilfenhaus the wrecker for Aus!
Friday 24 Feb
Andre Adams still remains sidelined - forced to "sit it out" or something like that! He's not been very well for almost a fortnight.
Not always totally serious and by fans for the fans of Notts Outlaws and Nottinghamshire CCC. Why not contribute yourself; write a review, article, photographs, statistics or to have a whine. No offence is ever intended, just a smile. Words are just opinions and not certified facts.
