Ramnaresh Sarwan has signed as Overseas Player for the Leicestershire Foxes for 2012. The former West Indies captain has been told that he isn't totally out of the frame for a test recall if he manages to "shape-up" and score some runs. West Indies tour England this year! Is it a wise choice of signature for the Foxes?

In Sharjah, Pakistan beat Afghanistan by 7 wickets in a ODI.
Younis Khan 70 not out.

Alviro Petersen is set to dump Glamorgan in favour of Essex for the first part of the 2012 season. In turn Glamorgan are looking to add to their Australian contingent with Mitchell Johnson possibly joining Marcus North at the Welsh county.

latest................. following an exchange of tweets, it would appear Mark Wallace (new Glamorgan skipper) is not happy with AP, or at least his comments.

At Trent Bridge the club announced their intention to scrap the scoreboard at the foot of Trent Bridge House and build a hospitality suite come ground staff garage come TV screen, so that the whole ground can watch replays on a big screen - the development is planned for the 2013 season. Attention thereafter will be on the William Clarke Stand which is overdue a revamp.
