Claydon only delays Notts victory at Durham

took the last wicket
55 runs from Mitch Claydon and a break for rain, delayed Notts their deserved victory at Durham ICG until just after 12 noon on the last day of the LV= match at Chester le Street, County Durham..


Nottinghamshire winning by 114 runs.



At Lord's, Surrey fluffed their run chase to lose by 3 runs to Middlesex. Tim Murtagh 4/43 and Toby Roland-Jones 4/25.


At Birmingham, Somerset stormed back into contention with multiple wickets from Kirby and Trego. Bears took lunch 216/8, needing 43 more runs. Keith Barker was out hit wicket to Trego.


Post-lunch, Jeetan Patel took the attack to Somerset, 4 Fours and 3 Sixes in his undefeated 43 saw Warwickshire home by 2 wickets, the sedate Troughton, 15 not out.


In the only remaining county game in Division 2, after 3 day victories from Kent and Sheep, Hampshire are making hard work of chasing down 290, set by Gloucestershire at West End, Southampton. 99/6 latest score - 3 wickets for Ian Saxelby so far.






At Southend, Notts Seconds had an easy innings victory, in a pre-season friendly against Essex. Centuries were registered by Karl Turner, Scott Elstone and Tom Rowe. Rowe has shone like a beacon at every level he has played at in Notts colours and it can only be a matter of time before he gets his opportunity in a CB40 match. George Bacon, Harry Gurney, Graeme White and Jacob Ball claimed wickets in the match.
