Sixfer Broad

Some fine accurate swing bowling by Jimmy Anderson was supported by the lofty arm of Stuart Broad in the First Test at Lord's today.


The West Indies showed much more fight than was expected in, for them, alien conditions.

Bears showed complete dominance against the reigning  champions. Warwickshire 557/6 dec, Lancashire 61/5 at Edgbaston. 


Centuries for Rikki Clarke (123*) and Varun Chopra (113) whilst Chris Woakes returned with 2/7 so far following a 43 not out with the bat.


At the Oval, Somerset racked-up 512/9, James Hildreth 120, Arul Suppiah 106 and with 3 wickets from Vernon Philander, hosts Surrey are currently restricted to 286/6, Steve Davies 104.


There has been a number of other centurions around the country, the highest being Simon Katich with 196 for Hampshire.
