Taylor rescues Lions

Jonny Bairstow and James Taylor rescued England Lions from a tricky 98/5 to a healthy 341 against the West Indian tourists at Northampton.

Taylor went on to score his second ton of the season to date with his 118. Earlier Samit Patel didn't fare as well with a seven ball 4.

West Indies 1st Innings 147

Lions First Innings 341

James Taylor 118
Jonny Bairstow 50
Michael Carberry 32

West Indies 2nd Innings 28/3

28/3 is very similar to Notts' overnight score entering the last day at Trent Bridge, 22/3. Notts however have a lead of 145 at the end of the third day which was dominated by just one man, Ollie Rayner the day two nightwatchman. Rayner had a golden day where he survived unbeaten with a career best 143 and followed that with two quick wickets as he removed Hales and Notts nightwatchman, Graeme Swann (0).

Recommendation:

Listen to the tea time of day 3 on BBC iplayer, a very good and frank interview with Andre Adams http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00cp6mn/episodes/player
