Unicorns beat Kent

More CB40s today, as the rain stayed away.


Despite 69 from Sam Northeast, Kent could only limp to 165 at Canterbury. The part-time Unicorns , helped by Keith Parsons(46*) and Tom New (36) reached their target with an over to spare.


At OT Lancashire easily disposed of Essex by 28 runs., fifties again for Horton and Croft. Essex only threatened when Graham Napier hit a typical 25 ball 51 but were all out in 37.3 overs.


Grace Road saw Middlesex defeat the hosts by 31 runs. Steven Finn removed the Fox's top order with 3/30 whilst Neil Dexter scored the game's only fifty with an unbeaten 54.


Sussex survived committing the Cardinal sin of being bowled out early, batting first with 180 from 35.4 overs. Hosts, Northamptonshire were tied down by the spin trio of Yardy, Panesar and Beer and only managed 168/7.


Scotland's batting failed at Bothwell Castle as they were dismissed for 131 in reply to Hampshire's 220.


There was a comfortable win for Surrey at the Oval over Durham by 60 runs. 77 for Tom Maynard was the top scorer in the game.


A useful debut for the fully visa-ed Mitchell Starc,3/28 and some big hitting from Gary Ballance (77) at Headingley, saw Tykes beat Sheep by 7 wickets with 14 balls to spare.
