Windies found wanting at Wantage Road

As Notts continued batting first in a match for the seventh time in succession this season, England Lion captain, James Taylor, won the toss and asked the West Indies to bat.

That decision, so far, has looked sound as the tourist were dismissed on an interrupted day for 147. Darren Bravo top scored with 51 - the 4 Lions seamers shared the wickets, Samit Patel didn't get to roll his arm over at all.

At stumps, Lions were 40/1.

At Stumps at Trent Bridge, Middlesex were 51/3 from 22 overs. Joe Denly 32 not out. Andrew Strauss out for just 2.

Earlier Notts had finished their maximum batting bonus point haul on 423. Michael Lumb 162, Alex Hales 79, Steven Mullaney 60 - 4 wickets for Finn.

IF

Mick Newell was looking for an overseas opening/death bowler for the T20s, then he's missed another name as Middlesex announced that they have nabbed the signature of Malinga the Slinger for the latter part of their group matches........................ just about the the best bowler in those situations at T20 anywhere!
