• Tea taken at 3.10, ground staff using blowers and throwing earth on the damp patch, no rain and players go on to the pitch; playing football, playing tennis, catching and fielding practice etc, including a Dirk Nannes bowling session.
• Another inspection by the Dynamic Duo at 4.00, no rain
• Play to commence at 4.30 "unless there is further rain"

• 4.30 Umpires end the farce
