Titans too hot to handle

Saturday
Perth Scorchers got burnt in CLT20 by Titans at Centurion, a feat mainly down to Kolpak Jacques Rudolph 83 not out and fellow opener Henry Davids 54. Scorchers fell 39 runs short even though Mitchell Marsh hit an unbeaten 52.

In the second game Delhi Daredevils had a comfortable win by 52 runs over KKR - chasing under lights in South Africa remains problematic even when you opt to, strangely.

Friday

Graeme White has been given a 2 year contract extension.

Wednesday
5 Star Azhar sends Hampshire home.

An inspired all round display for sometime Spitfire, Azhar Mahmood, dispatched Hampshire from the Champions League by 8 wickets. Mahmood 5/24 , 55 not out. Andre Adams bowled a steady 0/23 from his 4 overs.

Nottsview is sorry to here about the sad premature death of Kevin Curran formerly of Gloucestershire and Northants. He died aged 53 whilst out jogging in his native Zimbabwe - cause of death not yet disclosed.

Tuesday

Champion start for Ace Andre

Just to highlight the mystery of the T20 quarter -final selection of 2 or 3 months ago; in the Champions League preliminary match today Auckland Aces comfortably beat the Pakistani side Sialkot Stallions by 6 wickets, our man, Andre Adams  4-0-21-2 and the ovine Martin Guptill top scored for the New Zealanders with 40. Why didn't Andre play against Hampshire, it remains the point where the whole 2012 season went down the metaphorical bog - probably an Armitage Shanks one?

Well done to the Tykes who beat a pair of sun-glasses from a well known chainstore - Uva Next, by 5 wickets

Monday

Steven Mullaney has been given an extension to his contract until 2015.
