Cook rings the Bell as England Trott to a historic draw!

Day 5
After the final morning session of the series, Jonathan Trott (106*) looks to have taken England to a near-position of security and with it a series win. lunch 240/3



Trott eventually fell for 143 but that was the only wicket of the day as Ian Bell (116*) completed his ton before England declared 352/4.

So England have a series win in India for the first time in 28 years!

Cook falls to another poor decision.

Day 4

India declared 4 runs short of England before restricting the tourists to 82/2 at tea, Captain Cook this time falling to an edge-less caught behind decision.

Compton copped a poor one too, LBW to one he edged. At stumps England are 161/3, heading towards drawing the game and winning the series.


England's Performance squad fared worse in a T20 match against the Netherlands losing by 6 wickets. Hales (15), Lumb (16) and Taylor (29) all getting in but then getting out. Alex Kervezee (80 from 44 balls)the chief architect of the Dutch success, making light work of the humble 145 target.

England fightback after India dig in.

Day 3

Overnight batsmen Virat Kohli (103) and MS Dhoni (99) resisted England through both the morning and middle sessions putting on 198. 269/4 became 297/8 at stumps as Swann and Anderson salvaged the day for England.

Anderson takes England along Root 73

Day 2
England continued in a similar fashion to day 1, lunching on 277/7, Root 65* - Prior had made 57 before being bowled by Ashwin.
Post lunch England were bowled out for 330, Joe Root 73, Graeme Swann 56.

Anderson by the close had swung things England's way, India 87/4

Day 1
The fourth test gave Captain his first toss win and he chose to bat. At 16/2 with both openers back in the pavilion, Cook himself being "given out LBW" to Sharma - "a poor decision" for 1 but England crawled to lunch at 61/2.

Samit Patel has been replaced by Joe Root; Stuart Broad out with bruised a heel being replaced by Bresnan as Finn is strained again.

England closed Day 1 199/5 - KP 73, Trott 44, Matt Prior 34* Reports say that it's a tough Nagpur wicket.
