Foxes 40 over pre-season friendly

Steven Mullaney won the toss and inserted the hosts:

Cobb, O'Brien, Thornely, Eckersley, Boyce, Thakor, Smith, Taylor, Naik, Sykes, Freckingham, Williams

latest: 65/0 9 ov (Cross wearing the WK gloves) Cobb and O'Brien flying.

87/0 12 ov (Ball and White bowling........... not too successfully alas)

106/0 14 ov both Cobb and O'Brien have 50s

116/0 15 ov Wood and White bowling in tandem - with Outlaws having 3 spinners and Mullaney in their XI and spin isn't working at the moment, it doesn't look promising at this stage.

119/1 O'Brien st Cross b Wood 60

122/2 Cobb c Kelsall b Wood 53

128/2 20 ov - the 2 wickets slowed the rate only temporily as Thornely and Eckersley got themselves in, in cool conditions.

181/2 28 ov Thornely 36*, Eckersley 23*

224/3 33 ov Eckersley c Bacon b Ball 43

3 dropped catches in 2 overs as cold hands take their toll.

Thornely 77 ball ton races Foxes beyond 300

Endings closed on 328/3 Thorney 107*, Boyce 47*

Capt. Steven Mullaney took some stick (from Ben Phillips) for not bowling himself.

The young Outlaws reply started crisply if not spectacularly.

68/0 from 12 ov
123/2 from 23+ ov Cross 55 Kelsall 39
161/2 from 28 ov Wessels 46*

204/5

263/5 Outlaws lost by 63 runs
