Goober's kid-bro'
Alex Hales has been dropped from the Nottinghamshire First XI for the game against Derbyshire tomorrow.

The squad:
Riki Wessels,
Ed Cowan,
Michael Lumb,
James Taylor,
Samit Patel,
Steven Mullaney,
Chris Read,
Paul Franks,
Ajmal Shahzad,
Luke Fletcher,
Harry Gurney,
Andre Adams

Amassing 30 runs in 8 LV= matches has caused the reaction from Director Newell.

“It’s important that he gets runs in the second team and comes back in with confidence." Mick Newell

Playing for the Seconds at Denby today, Hales scored 0.

Notts Seconds were 144 all out and in reply Derbys were 130/7

Undoubtedly Hales has class but his red ball form (and in this case pink ball form) has deserted him. Fingers-crossed one lucky break will lead a big score and he'll start filling his boots again!

Notts Seconds beat Derbyshire 2s by 5 wickets today at Trent College.

Andre Adams bowled a few tentative overs but Adam Tillcock 50* and Brett Hutton 35* saw Notts over the winning line. Riki Wessels top scored with 77 (b. Burgoyne Knight).
