The Lions' Call

Samit Patel has been selected for the Yorkshire England Lions tour of South Africa in early 2015 and hopes to push for a place the senior squad in the following World Cup soon after should he excel in the familiar conditions. Samit played for the Warriors franchise a couple of years ago.

The tour starts with:

5-7 January – SA Invitational XI v England Lions, three-day match, UJ Soweto Oval, Johannesburg

11-15 January – South Africa A v England Lions, four-day match, Boland Park, Paarl

For this section of the tour, Jonathan Trott (Warwickshire), Sam Robson (Middlesex) and Adam Riley (Kent) are included in the party.
