Cheers Bears
After looking certain to record a, damaging blow to Outlaws hopes, win against Birmingham Bears, Leicestershire Foxes snatched defeat by 8 runs, although they had 6 wickets in hand.
Even after a frugal spell of 4-0-10-1 from Rikki Clarke, Foxes were in cruise mode, sailing towards their target with Mark Crosgrove at the helm joined by first-mate Grant Billy Elliott.
With the loss of Elliott (122/3 from 16.1 overs), Foxes should still have managed their target of 161 with 7 wickets in hand and at 10 per over, but a tidy over by Recordo Gordon in which that wicket fell sealed their fate, as those runs were never recouped with Captain Cosgrove falling overboard, run out 74 in the final over.
Earlier, record blasting, Brendon McCullum, flopped for just 6 with Rikki Clarke top scorer with 46.
