Postcard from NSW

Hello

Trust you are well

Yesterday I umpired a game between two of the prominent schools in NSW in a 50 overs a side fixture. My co-umpire was Geoff Garland , an experienced Sydney Grade umpire. Geoff visited Nottingham in the summer and watched the Stuart Broad demolition at Trent Bridge. He was interviewed on Channel 9 after the game and said how disappointed he was with the Aussies!

The game was at the beautiful Oxford Falls sporting home of St Pius X in north Sydney whose opponents were St Aloysius of Sydney [just by the harbour bridge]. St Pius X batted very well and posted 264/7 in 50 overs. St Aloysius were all out for 114 so a convincing win for the hosts.

They have a newly installed electronic scoreboard but don't wander into the small creek behind, it has poisonous snakes lurking around!

Have a good weekend

cheers Andy
