Not always totally serious and by fans for the fans of Notts Outlaws and Nottinghamshire CCC. Why not contribute yourself; write a review, article, photographs, statistics or to have a whine. Contact methods are shown above. Publication does not necessarily mean agreement with comments, but if it makes just one person smile then it can't all be bad. No offence is ever intended, just a smile. Words are just opinions and not certified facts.

Nottinghamshire Members' Forum
Lunch of Day 2 of the last match of the season at Trent Bridge (Worcestershire) saw the second of the Nottinghamshire Members' Forums in 2017. It's a pity that Nottinghamshire CCC feel the need to restrict their nod towards openness to a lunch break, mid-week in September, but that's better than nothing I suppose.
On the back of the club's success in the two one day competitions, an easier ride would be expected by Lisa and Company from assembled members.
Thanks to JAG for his brief notes of some of the questions asked:
Meeting started with a 5 minute speech from Chris Read re his impending retirement and about this career with Notts.
Q Who will the captain next season?
A from PM no decision has been made and will not be made until the end of the season
Q Will Dan Christian be back for next year's T20 blast?
A From Mick Newell "Obviously he played very well and captained the side well, we cannot confirm anything until the full fixture lists
are available next year and we know who is also available"
Q Will Notts be holding T20 Finals day in 2019, as rumours from Edgbaston suggest that we might not be and that they would like to stage it in 2019 instead of Trent Bridge?
A - Lisa P stated that TB cannot compete with the capacity of 25,000 that Edgbaston holds, and if Warwickshire are interested in swapping an Ashes test match we might be interested.
It was felt (by Members)that she did not really answer the question. There is a new major staging agreement from 2020.
There were more questions re the new franchise competition in 2020, but nothing new was stated but great emphasis was placed on the fact that BBC TV will be showing some of it.
