Captain Mul-lion

Steven Mullaney has been selected to skipper England Lions in the forthcoming Tri-Series, the fixtures for which are:

Tri-Series fixtures – all matches 11am start

June 22: Lions v India A (3aaa County Ground, Derby)

June 23: Lions v West Indies A (3aaa County Ground, Derby)

June 25: India A v West Indies A (Fischer County Ground, Leicester)

June 26: Lions v India A (Fischer County Ground, Leicester)

June 28: Lions v West Indies A (County Ground, Northampton)

June 29: India A v West Indies A (County Ground, Northampton)

July 2: Final (Kia Oval).

It's fantastic recognition of the advances Mull has made in his form and his leadership pre-season with the North and with Outlaws early season, but is another blow to Nottinghamshire's batsmen shortage and will disrupt the whole balance of the side, yet again.

Steven will miss the Championship games against Essex at Chelmsford and Worcestershire at Trent Bridge.

The one day cup final is being held on the 30th June
