FRAIXIT

Will Fraine has joined Yorkshire on a three-year deal.
The 22-year-old featured in all three formats for the Green and Golds after arriving at Trent Bridge in May earlier this year.
Fraine was offered a new deal by Nottinghamshire but has chosen to return to his county of birth.
The Huddersfield born right-hander made his last appearance during the T20 Blast defeat to Durham and Director of Cricket Mick Newell was disappointed to see Fraine go.
“We offered Will what we thought was a good deal but unfortunately he’s decided to ply his trade elsewhere,” said Newell.
“Yorkshire have got themselves a good, promising player and I’d like to wish him all the best.”

  1. Sensible move from Will Fraine, Although Notts had offered him a contract its doubtful it would have been a the 3 year contact offered by the Yorkies, Realistically he would have been at best a bit part player for Notts next season, Couple that with the fact he is from Huddersfield and its not difficult to see why he accepted what was on offer.

Yes Zanga I agree, cannot see the deal Notts had on the table being more than a one year deal, personally so it's a good move for him. Does this mean the Yorkshire production line is struggling somewhat though in signing an unproven player along with Poysden whilst also missing out on Duckett.
