All In or All out?

Love Island meets The Office

I understood that the All In series was to be about Outlaws' T20 Blast campaign but so far episode 1 has been plugged as an Alex Hales' confession of his misdemeanours to the troops and now episode 2 shows Peter Moores' tough love for Samit Patel and Mick Newell's "there's a perception out there" speech directed at the dressing room, dated 26th June.

Does anyone else smell a rat? Are we being spun a line that none of our batsman would be able to play?

If Mick Newell was addressing the concerns of the members on 26th June, using the same language about perception, when those concerns were aired during in the Members' Forum, five days later on 1st July, then the man is psychic and fully in touch with the feelings of the members.

If Psychic Michael is for real and he really did give that speech on the 26th June to his solemn, puppy-eyed players then he is total ineffectual in that aspect of his job as results haven't changed with THREE thrashings following 26th June, two defeats by an innings and 100+ runs and one defeat by 167 runs. Should he resign?

As for Samit Patel being all understanding about being axed, then why did he go into a sulk when absenting himself from a second eleven fixture that he was listed to be part of, didn't bowl, it's not recorded that if fielded or not. Then again why was he reinstated into the first eleven having made no effort (in games) to improve, to justify his inclusion , only to be rightly dropped again against Somerset but then to be called-up as a concussion substitute even though he wasn't even present at Taunton and wouldn't be allowed to bowl; when Notts had had plenty of other playing staff on the ground already who would have been able to bat in the first innings. Who's in charge Samit or Peter?

I know it's just video dross for the masses that attend Blast games but I think I preferred Steven Mullaney battling aliens to being spun a tale that's more Love Island meets The Office than a video record of events.

It's all of no consequence now as the Vitality Blast is here; all will be forgotten after a few wins, if we can remember how to do that.

  1. More questions than answers!
Trying to fathom out exactly whats going on at Notts CCC is tantamount to completing a complex jigsaw with one or two pieces missing .
No doubt the muddy waters will soon clear ?

  2. Yes, we now urgently need a clear Statement from the Club as to its future direction.

  3. "Lack of discipline" stories (true or false??) leaking out

    1/"scooters" at Taunton?

2/ Tunbridge Wells (something more serious)?

  4. I am saddened to see that 2 Comments have had to be removed - we are generally a group of well-intentioned; sometimes humerous (and near the 'mark'); knowledgeable and responsible Bloggers with the best interests of the Club at heart. Let's try and keep it that way because we know that several 'officials' read this Blog and the last thing we need is to lose our credibility. It is, on the whole, an excellent Site and a credit to those who established and maintain it. "Here endeth the first lesson!!!"

    1. Comments removed because of unsubstantiated accusations made about players' actions at Tunbridge Wells, which I have heard something along the same lines of involving a bill for repairs which I'm sure the committee would be well aware of if it were / is true. However I don't want this blog to become a forum for making wild libelous accusations. If someone were to report "I saw XY and Z" that would be fine. The scooter story still remains "Snooze at 10" , being widely told around TB, you just have to hope that those in charge have made their disapproval clear to those concerned.

  5. Yes its easy to get carried away with comments when so many regular and faithful supporters are pretty angry about the on-field performances which may or may not be affected by various rumours circulating about off-field discipline (or lack of it)
You have to be careful these days not to overstep the mark verbally or in print .
The Notts Committee must be aware of whats be bandied about amongst supporters in the various stands . There is no smoke without fire - so they say .
