Two wonderful men and great servants of our great club.
ReplyDeleteAgree with all the nice things said about Brian Bolus.
Brian Robson was a man of great courtesy and kindness. Members totally respected and liked him very much. He really listened and put our case. He also steered the club out of a very difficult financial situation in 1982, and kept the club successful on and off the field and our ground up to date as a superb Test venue.
This is a very sad day for us, we have lost 2 exceptional people
RIP. Good to hear the favourable comments on both of them. Remember watching Brian Bolus. Pretty good career batting figures when many of his years were on uncovered wickets. Decent Test average too for someone who was only given 7 games. Hadn’t realised that he left Notts as early as that; if I’d had to guess I would’ve said late 70s.
