If you're not happy with the proposal to reduce the County Championship to 12 or even 10 games per season, then sign this petition, c/o Lancashire Action Group.
Not always totally serious and by fans for the fans of Notts Outlaws and Nottinghamshire CCC. Why not contribute yourself; write a review, article, photographs, statistics or to have a whine. Contact methods are shown above. Publication does not necessarily mean agreement with comments, but if it makes just one person smile then it can't all be bad. No offence is ever intended, just a smile. Words are just opinions and not certified facts.

Will do so and thanks
ReplyDeleteDone it. Whether it will do any good I don’t know, can always hope.foxy
ReplyDeleteSupporters are well down the pecking order alas
DeleteI've signed it even though I'm not a member even though I don't attend CC matches very often.
ReplyDeleteDone. I'm also no longer a member but first class cricket is my favourite format.
ReplyDeleteWhy do these people who make decisions feel like like they have a mandate to change things without consulting anyone. We the people for the people by the people.
ReplyDeleteI Don’t know. They are a lot of us it seems to me who are not happy about the direction of travel.what to do about it to change policy I really don’t know though, foxy
DeleteRed ball cricket is my favourite form of the game. Never watched a Hundred game and never will. I want support the County of my birth, not a franchise.
ReplyDeleteFor various reasons i decided not to renew my membership after covid decimated cricket and for a while made it impossible to watch other than online, Time has passed by and just as i feel i might consider renewing my membership i read about these ill considered plans to reduce the number of four day matches.
ReplyDeleteFor someone who finds most enjoyment in watching the longer version of the game to possibly lose more games makes it more likely that any thoughts of once again becoming a member seem less and less unlikely. Six matches played most likely at the extremes of the season in order to facilitate handing more of the summer over to the various forms of knockabout cricket do not fill with me enthusiasm Whilst i do enjoy the 50 over version ( it does give a game time to develop) that too seems under threat, What with games moved to various outer grounds it does seem like the beginning of the end for that format.
Whilst i doubt it will have much effect i will also sign the petition, Lets just hope that for once the ECB listens, Somehow though you doubt they will...
We need to argue to keep 14 County Championship matches.
ReplyDeleteWe are losing battle, to be honest, but if club vote for it without backing of members, that would
be another abuse of democracy by them.
We need to argue for no reduction in County Championship matches.
ReplyDeleteWe are losing battle to be honest, but if club vote for it without support if members established, another breach of democracy by them.
