Tea Time
In the professional game, a familiar interval in the afternoon for just multi-day games only now, but how long should tea take and who should get the break?

Not always totally serious and by fans for the fans of Notts Outlaws and Nottinghamshire CCC. Why not contribute yourself; write a review, article, photographs, statistics or to have a whine. Contact methods are shown above. Publication does not necessarily mean agreement with comments, but if it makes just one person smile then it can't all be bad. No offence is ever intended, just a smile. Words are just opinions and not certified facts.

It was nice of the TB hierarchy to grant Mr Coxon a benefit match for a SECOND team fixture, those were the days.
ReplyDeleteAt the moment, I am part of the TB heritage group going through the Notts CCC committee meeting minutes. Within there was a letter from Sussex in 1906 who radically proposed to get rid of the tea interval all together, the Notts Committee somewhat unsurprisingly were against the proposal. Three years earlier cash strapped Sussex tried to get Notts to compensate them for catering losses incurred during the 1903 fixture at Hove which was abandoned after the end of the second day following Arthur Shrewsbury suicide. The Notts committee point blanketly refused to pay up!
