Shouldn't moan about the fixtures as they're Division 1 fixtures, but a gap from 1st August until 24th September at Trent Bridge as most of our home games will be concluded by the second week of May, isn't great.
The anticipated trip to the seaside at Hove isn't scheduled as we only play Sussex once. At least New Road might have drained by the time we visit New Road next season, in the second week of September.

While I also bemoan the long breaks between red ball cricket...
ReplyDeleteSpare a thought for red ball cricket watchers in SA, where the is no cricket between 22nd December and 20 March.
"When will they will ever learn ? "
ReplyDeleteMy money staying in my pocket.
From 25th June to 27th September, 3 months/the 2nd half of the season, there are 2, yes 2, Championship home matches !
ReplyDeleteDid you seriously expect different?
ReplyDeleteScheduling Championship cricket during August was in 2024 universally proclaimed as a success. Three months later and they have forgotten this and knocked that idea on the head.
DeleteVery true !
