India KO'd by Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka beat Australia and as a result dumped India out of the Commonwealth Bank Series finals.

In rich form at the moment

Sri Lanka had been bowled out for 238, 3 of the middle order securing fifties but 5 wickets, including a hat-trick from Daniel Christian and 4 wickets for Patto the younger, James Pattinson, restricted the runs scored.


Australia should have sailed to their target when Shane Watson (65) and combined 100+ from the Husseys were scored in reply but little else was contributed by the other batters and the hosts fell 9 runs short of Sri Lanka, 4 wickets for Malinga.


David Hussey is now averaging over 82 in this series.




In contrast Adam Voges got a first ball duck against Victoria in the Sheffield Shield match for WA.
