At Derby, Martin Guptill batted the Sheep into a commanding position with 131 out of a score 213/0, a lead of 235.


Essex ran out easy winners against Gloucester by a innings and 38 runs - Graham Napier 5/58 today's star.


Foxes eventually redeemed themselves from their crashing start on day 1 by winning in 3 days, Glamorgan out for 183 in their second innings, leaving Leicester victorious by 52 runs. Robbie Joseph 6/64 and 12/113 in the match.


The game at Taunton  looks set for a draw, unless there's some machinations, Compton 99 and Kieswetter 83 were the pick of the performances today.


At the Oval, Luke Wells (96*) held the victory charge of Surrey at bay, until tomorrow- Sussex need another 102 with 2 wickets left.


At Headingley, Charlie Shreck is still wicketless in 2012. New boy, Mark Davies has followed his 58 with 3/44. Yorkshire are still 221 runs in first innings with 4 wickets left.
