Friday the Thirteenth

England U19s paid the the price for changing a winning team, dropping Sam Kelsall, they lost badly to their Indian counter-parts in Townsville by 63 runs.  Brett Hutton and Sam Wood tidily shared a 10 over quota, 1/16 and 1/23.


Early wickets from Ben Phillips and Andre Adams, projected Notts into an advantageous position at the Riverside only for the hitting out of Callum Thorp to restore some parity by noon on day two. Durham 129 all out, Thorp 30 not out, Carter 3/27.


At Aigburth, Liverpool, Sussex started with slight lead which they proceeded to stretch.


In the London derby, Middlesex were bowled out for 256, Dawid Malan out for 88.


Edgbaston saw hosts, Warwickshire take the lead over the first hour of day 2.




At Cardiff, Glamorgan continued their slide from Day 1 against the Ovine county to 95 all out, 35 in deficit.


Gloucester carried-on building at the Rose Bowl from their interrupted first day.


Visiting Kent, at Northampton, extended their advantage at the start of the second day.

An undefeated Michael Lumb century was the difference for Notts, second time around, the best score in 14 visits to the Riverside for the former Hampshire and Yorkshire player.

At Aigburth, Lancashire will need Ashwell Prince to dig them out of a deep hole. Lancs currently trailing by 91 runs with 6 wickets left.


Surrey are still in their first innings, trailing by 95 runs with 5 wickets in hand.


Somerset have a slender lead in their second innings at Birmingham with 6 wickets left.


Derbyshire have a taste for Welsh lamb at Sophia Gardens, having a second innings advantage of 187 with 4 more wickets left.


Gloucestershire ended with 314 at Southampton, Hampshire in reply stand on 182/7 - 3 wickets for Ian Saxelby.


Northamptonshire have up against it at Wantage Road, against Kent, 50/4 in the second innings, still 186 in arrears.
