Notts Academy were downed yesterday by "friendly fire" in the shape of Luke Fletcher having an occasional run-out for Clifton C C .


Fletch removed Tom Rowe, first ball and Adam Tilcock in 12 overs which cost 2/37.


Academy made just 151, the mercurial Hassan Azad 40.


Clifton won by 7 wickets.






UNI-BOMBING!

Darren Pattinson also made a tentative return in a 2nd XI 50 over game against Loughborough MCCU, Darren had no reported ill-affects from the outing which the 2nds lost fairly easily but Scott Elstone(70) and Sam Kelsall(56) both made useful runs.




SON OF BLUE


The raw talent of England Lion, Jonny Bairstow has been added to the England squad for the 1st Test against the Windies. Bairstow shows great promise and is included as cover for the thigh-strained Ravi Bopara. Graeme Onions has also been added to the squad that played the 3rd test against Sri Lanka.
