Root Hundred v WI for Lions 2012

Division Two's man of the season so far, Matt Coles, finished off the improved West Indies at 390, Coles 4/76, in their second innings. This left James Taylor's England Lions needing 197 to win on the fourth afternoon of the game at Wantage Road.

After ten overs of the Lion's innings, Darren Bravo commenced only his second ever spell of bowling in First Class cricket; initially this scoreboard watcher thought it must be so Rampaul and Edwards could swap ends, but no Bravo  stayed-on and his spell  continued.

Bravo bowled 5 overs for 19 runs.

It appears Roach took a knock whilst batting, so didn't bowl; Rampaul felt a bit of a strain and Edwards was being rest ahead of the Test so that is why Bravo made his occasional show with the ball.

Lion strolled to an easy win against the depleted attack, Joe Root bagging a ton in the process.
