Notts' win at Hove 2012



Notts do the business at the Probiz!



After Notts had dismissed the home side for 263, they were left with a tricky target of 144 in 2 sessions on a pitch taking turn.


The morning session saw the introduction of Andre Adams who dismissed both the overnight batsman, Murray Goodwin (74) and Luke Wright (55) after which Carter, Patel and Gurney finished off the job.


Andy Carter finished with 4/64.






All the Notts top order batsman contributed to the effort, Riki Wessels 30, Alex Hales 24, Michael Lumb 25, James Taylor 12 not out but it was Samit Patel that scored the necessary runs to get Notts over the line with 50 not out, by 7 wickets. Notts took 23 points. The first win at Hove since 1893, correction, 1983.

At Trent Bridge, England beat the West Indies by 9 wickets with almost 4 sessions to spare.

Lancashire were humbled by the Netherlands today in a CB40 contest.


Lancashire slumped badly from 199/2 to 236 all out, 4 wickets each for Malik and Swart.


Netherlands narrowly won by 1 wicket with 2 balls to spare, Michael Swart top scorer with 41.
