Seven-fer Broad 2012@Lord's

Stuart Broad completed a career best seven wicket haul at the start of today's play at Lord's, 7/72.


England then went on to boss the Windies bowlers with a century from Andrew Strauss and fifty from Jonathan Trott.


At the early close, due to bad light, England were 259/3, Strauss 121 not out.


Warwickshire are also in full control against Lancashire.


Lancashire were dismissed for 197, a deficit of 360 runs. 3 wickets each for Wright , Woakes and Jeetan Patel.
Second time around the Red Rose County were doing a little better, before the weather closed in, 122/3.








Division 2 leaders, Derbyshire, trotted to a three day win against the Welsh county. Tyke, David Wainwright, doing the damage in the second innings, 5/51, 8 wickets the margin of victory.
















News Flash...............


Somerset have announced that their latest new recruit for the T20 competition this year will be World Record breaking Richard Levi - you have to admire their ambition - Gayle, du Plessis and now Levi, especially when you consider the big hitting that already fills their team sheet. - this might be an indication of the availability of Marcus Trescothick, or lack of!


Junaid Khan won't be joining Lancashire for their baseball team this year, as he will be touring Sri Lanka with Pakistan.
