England turn the tables on India

Monday

England through Monty Panesar and Graeme Swann out spun India at Mumbai in a 10 wicket win.

Match hauls of 11/210 for Monty P and 8/113 for Swanny. Man of the match was KP who defied critics, the wicket, the opposition and himself to score a match winning score on day 3.


Sunday Monty on Fire

After Alastair Cook (122) and Kevin Pietersen (186) had set up an England first innings lead; Monty Panesar set about the Indian batting and by the close of day 3 had taken his tenth wicket of the game (Swann has 6 so far). India 117/7 leading by 31, Gambhir 53 not out.

Saturday

Monty Panesar completed his 5fer and then Graeme Swann polished off the rest of the innings; India all out 327. England then survived the two sessions remaining with 178/2, unbroken fifties for Captain Cook and KP.

Friday

Aussie T20 captain, George Bailey, has signed as Hampshire's overseas player for 2013, during an Ashes year.

In Mumbai, second test day 1 just after lunch, India 94/3 - 2 wickets for the recalled Monty Panesar. (3 Notts players retained)

Tuesday

Saj Mahmood has left Lancashire, after 10 years at the club, joining Essex, the Desert Rats.
