Jordan's homecoming ends in celebration

Both Michael Lumb and Alex Hales put in good shifts with a near 100 opening partnership, a good start almost wasted by a familiar fold that was salvaged by Chris Jordan.

In a solo display, Jordan beat the West Indies in the dead rubber T20 match at Bridgetown by 5 runs.

T20 Troubles return.

In the second T20, put-in England posted a below par 152/7 with only Hales (40) and Buttler (67) with scores to write home about.

A would-be close last few overs were cut to shreds as Sammy smacked Bresnan and, predictably Jade Dernbach to a 9 ball 30; Windies winning with 7 balls to spare by 5 wickets.
Debuted but didn't bowl
England appear to lack T20 experience, with much of the West Indians being almost T20 specialists, in a format that is still rapidly evolving beyond these shores, out played, out foxed, out hit and out bowled.

It couldn't have been much worse for the Notts-boys; chasing a West Indies Bridgetown-record target, the Outlaws openers both went fairly cheaply and Stuart Broad pulls out of the rest of the series after the heavy defeat with a dodgy knee.

After the success of the spin bowlers in the ODIs, the Genius Giles decided to revert to pace and Jade Dernbach. The result was a 27 run defeat with England never in the hunt, The pick of England's bowlers, James Tredwell.

England's batsmen failed to come to terms with the battery of WI spin bowlers and the omens for Bangladesh aren't looking good - spin will be king on those tracks you would imagine. The omission of Samit Patel from the squad looks increasing small minded, as he offers a low flat spin option and is the best player of spinners in Mick Newell's stable.

In the short term, Moeen Ali should return and Luke Wright should be put out of his misery.
