 Wicket was a long hop hit down deep square leg's throat.

 Notts officials obviously did not know there was a "new match" on day 2, as they would not have produced a potted scorecard from day 1. No scorecards on day 1 as far as I know, and most people did not have any for day 2.
 
 Girdler gave the crowd as 50, but on day 1 there was a FIRE ALARM TEST, causing the pavilion and the Northants dressing room to evacuate, only the pavilion was open, I would guess the crowd was about 150 max at the highest, possibly lower on day 2..
